School Visitor Policy

Welcome to I.S77! Ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within our school community is our top priority. To maintain a safe environment conducive to learning, we strictly enforce the following visitor policy:

Identification and Sign-In: All visitors, excluding students attending school or school-related activities, must present a valid ID and sign in at the School Safety desk located at the main entrance of the building. This policy is in accordance with the Department of Education guidelines.

Visitor Pass: Upon signing in, visitors will be issued a pass by the School Safety Agent. This pass must be worn visibly at all times during the visit and returned to the School Safety desk at the conclusion of the visit for proper disposal.

Cooperation with School Staff: We kindly ask all visitors to cooperate fully with our School Safety Agents and staff members. Your compliance with established procedures is essential in maintaining a secure environment for everyone.

Designated Entrance: The main entrance to the school building is located on Seneca Avenue between George Street and Centre Street (Exits 1 and 2). For security purposes, this entrance is the only authorized point of entry and exit for parents and visitors, unless directed otherwise. Please note that all other exits are actively alarmed and should not be utilized unless in the case of an emergency.
